Are you an Ohio-based organization looking to build employee skills?
TechCred is an Ohio-based program intended to enhance Ohio’s skilled workforce by reimbursing employers who help their employees earn industry-recognized, technology-focused credentials.
Ohio’s TechCred Program gives employers the chance to upskill current and future employees in today’s tech-infused economy. Employers who submit successful applications will be reimbursed up to $2,000 per employee credential (up to $30,000 per funding round) when current or prospective employees complete eligible technology-focused credentials.
In partnership with the Ohio Department of Development, several of The Innovation Garage education and training programs are eligible. Many of these trainings can be completed online and remotely!
Designed by the Ohio Department of Development, TechCred helps Ohioans learn new skills and helps employers build a stronger workforce with the skills needed in a technology-infused economy. These technology-focused credentials take a year or less to complete and prepare current and future employees for the technology jobs Ohio employers need.
The March round of TechCred marked the 13th round of the program. With the March round approvals, a total of 1,822 Ohio employers have been approved for funding through the TechCred program, supporting the earning of 40,824 tech-focused credentials by employees. Results of the May round will be announced soon.
Ohio Businesses can apply now for the the next round of the Ohio TechCred program.
Round 15 opened on July 1, and applications will be accepted until July 29.
TechCred will also be open for applications on a bimonthly basis for the remainder of 2022:
- Round 16: Sept. 1-30
- Round 17: Nov. 1-30
